Hard disk is the most essential storage medium to store valuable data. One can store large amount of data on the disk and can easily manage the space and data. To store data effectively, hard drive is divided into multiple partitions which maximizes the storage space and helps to prevent data loss situations in the case of windows crash. Creating multiple partitions provides easy installation of the operating system to the primary partition and user can save data on other partition.
The advantage of making multiple partitions proves helpful when the disaster strike; in such cases one can format or reinstall the operating system where the operating system is stored. This will prevent the loss of saved data.
File Allocation Table (FAT) and New Technology File System (NTFS) are the two most common partition types used on Windows Operating System. FAT and NTFS partitions usually get corrupt due to Logical or Physical damages to the disk. Data on these corrupt partitions can be recovered with the help of partition recovery software. Generally there are three types of hard drive data recovery techniques which are followed to recover data from the damaged drives:
Logical Data Recovery:
This type of data recovery involves use of data recovery software to recover data, deleted files, and folders. Data recovery software can recover data which becomes inaccessible due to virus attacks, operating system damages, file corruptions, software failures and many other reasons.
Non-Invasive Data Recovery:
This type of data recovery states corruption of data due to electronic equipment failure of hard drives. For e.g. electronic part of the hard drive may fry or burn due to any reason or the other. In this case, the data recovery technician doesn't needs to take the hard drive to clean room. Repairing or replacing the electronic equipment solves the problem.
Invasive Data Recovery:
This type of data recovery involves Class 100 Clean Room data recovery process. If interior part of the hard drive fails usually heads, where smallest fleck of dust damage the platters; hard drives are then opened in Clean room and repaired.
RecoveryFix for Windows- partition recovery software equipped with three recovery modes; Quick Scan, Extensive Scan and File Trace effectively recovers the lost, deleted and inaccessible data from the corrupt, damaged FAT and NTFS partition.
3 Modes Explained :
-
Quick Scan: The Quick Scan recovery mode equipped in RecoveryFix for Windows recovers the recently deleted files and folders. This mode is fast and effective recovery option to recover data from the FAT and NTFS partitions.
-
Extensive Scan: The Extensive Scan recovery mode recovers data from the formatted or deleted hard drives. The files and folders which could not be recovered with the Quick Scan Recovery mode are recovered with the Extensive Scan Recovery mode.
-
File Trace: The File Trace recovery mode is an effective data recovery process which recovers data from sectors of the hard drive. This mode of recovery proves useful in cases where the entire data on the hard drive gets corrupted. File Trace recovery mode can recover only those files and folders which are saved on continuous sectors of the drive.
The File Trace recovery mode cannot recover the complete hierarchy and the original name of the file and folders too cannot be recovered by this mode.
